| HOW TO PLAY CELEBRITY
-you choose 2 teams (or however many you want). -each team member writes down maybe 3-5 names of either movie actors or the names of characters from movies on individual slips of paper. (you can do TV stuff, too, but keeping to movies is generally simpler. it's also suggested that under the name, you write the movie name, just for the sake of cluing in the more clueless players.) -fold them all up and toss all the names into a basket/bowl/receptacle of some kind. -someone prepare to keep score, and someone prepare to keep time. suggest keep same scorekeeper hroughout game, but can switch timekeepers, depending upon which team's turn it is.
ROUND 1 -start time, generally 40-60 seconds. -1st player takes a name from the basket, and gives clues so their own team can figure out the name. they can say almost anything, except "sounds like", "rhymes with", or any part of the name. for example, if the name is "Nemo", you can't say "he's the star of 'Finding Nemo', because the player has said all/part of the name. you can say things like "she's married to alec baldwin, she played vicky vale in the first batman movie, she's blonde," etc, if the name is Kim Basinger. -that 1st player tries to get through as many names as possible during their 40-60 seconds, and they get a point for each name guessed. keep the "used" names together, so they don't get mixed back in or lost. -now the 1st player of the next team goes. and so on, alternative teams between turns. -if someone is mid-clue when the time runs out, the player doesn't give the name away, but tosses the name back into the basket for the next player to try to get his/her team to guess. -each player gets 1 "pass" per turn. as in, if they pick a name, but have no idea who the actor/character is, or how to clue their team in, they say "pass" set it aside, and either come back to it later during their turn, or just toss it back into the basket at the end of their turn. -play back and forth as many times as needed until the basket is empty.
ROUND 2 -put all the original names back into the basket. -for this round, each player can only say 1 word for their clue. hopefully the teams have been paying attention and remember which names had been used in the first round, so this round should be pretty easy. -be careful! if you pick a name and say something like "oh, crap", you've used up your word, and have to either pass, or hope your team randomly guesses it. -otherwise all rules from round 1 apply here.
ROUND 3 -here's where it gets tricky. this is the charades round. -so play it like charades! no talking, no sound, only gestures. -add up the points and see which team won.
| So lately I've been doing alot of work in the film industry here in town (KC). I love it. It is hard for me to express how much I have enjoyed my time this summer being an intern at RSVP Productions and working freelance for Take Two. I'm finally getting paid for what I love to do, it seems one of my dreams is starting to emerge. Like Grandad (my grandfather) told me before he passed away. "Patrick do what you love in life, thats what's important. Don't worry about money, it will come."
Sometimes if I think about it to much, I really miss my grandfather. But recently all I can do is praise him for his wisdom that he instilled in me. So far I'm doing what I love, and finally I'm getting paid for it. All I can do is just be thankful for all that I have right now. So I guess what you would call this feeling I've had lately is Joy.
By the way, sometime soon I'll figure some ways to put up some pictures from the shoots I've been working on, either that or I'll post them on facebook.

| So this weekend my brother and his feonce' and her mom and the maid of honor came in town. It was a good time. I have officially gotten all of them addicted to the show Lost. So lately I have realized that I'm lonely. Now, I don't know if it is just that I feel this way now as a write this post or if it is just a feeling that I have had in general for the past few weeks. The feeling is more of an ancy feeling of wanting to be around friends. And more or less wanting someone to talk to... preferably a significant other to talk to.
See... I think that is how you can judge a good relationship. If you can sit on a couch with someone and just enjoy talking to them for a long time, sharing intimate stories or really not talking about anything at all... Just talking about random stuff. So thats what I'm feeling right now. Its funny how everything is wonderful right now in my life... but I still sorta have that feeling. I guess everyone feels this way from time to time. Even in the bible sometimes you can see that Jesus himself experienced this loneliness. It's part of life. See I know that tomorrow I'll wake up and go to work and I'll be pretty happy again.

| So I am now 20... no longer a teenager. Um, I don't feel any different. Nothing really exciting happens when you turn 20. So I've been listening to alot of great music lately. I thought I would post the lyrics to this Death Cab for Cutie song... right now it really seems to make senese... plus it just has a great sound. I urge everyone to check out Death Cab's albumn named Plans. Here are they lyrics...
"Your Heart Is An Empty Room" By: Death Cab for Cutie
Burn it down till the embers smoke on the ground And start new when your heart is an empty room With walls of the deepest blue
Home's face: how it ages when you're away Spring blooms and you find the love that's true But you don't know what now to do Cause the chase is all you know And she stopped running months ago
And all you see Is where else you could be When you're at home Out on the street Are so many possibilities To not be alone
The flames and smoke climbed out of every window And disappeared with everything that you held dear And you shed not a single tear for the things that you didn't need 'Cause you knew you were finally free
'Cause all you see is where else you could be when you're at home Out on the street are so many possibilities to not be alone
And all you see is where else you could be When you're at home There on the street are so many possibilities to not be alone
